Chickens: Lessons Learned
Things I never knew about chickens, etc:
- Chickens are *very* social animals
- Chickens make a specific crowing sound after they lay an egg
- Chickens have pin-point accuracy with their beaks
- Chickens have killer eyesight
- Fresh eggs have harder shells than store-bought eggs
- Chickens eat most every table scrap
- “Pecking orders” do exist
- I now understand from where the word “chicken” was derived (they are very nervous around unfamiliar things)
